Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

You want your "My Page" to be personal -- but you don't want to go to a lot of extra work of writing all your blog posts here and there -- well, you don't have to! Using the RSS feature, you can add your personal blog posts, your Twitter Feed, your Friend Feed or any RSS directly to your "My Page".

First, go to your "My Page" and find the RSS Feed box. The default location is on the left hand side. You can drag it anywhere you want it on the page. (Check out this post for directions on customizing your "My Page", so that you can have this content show up where ever you want.)

Click on the right hand side, on the "Edit" button, to open the RSS feed menu. From there, simply fill in the blanks and hit "Save".

:) Let me know if you have any questions!
thank you that worked great
WOW...I actually can't believe how easy that was...thanks for the help! xo
For the Cinema Saturday Challenge, you can link directly to your picture in the photo gallery here if you'd like. If you'd like to have a real blog, you can have that here too. Click HERE: http://www.papercraftplanet.com/profiles/blog/new

Once you create one post, the "blog posts" tab will appear on your My Page and you can create postings as often as you'd like. They even have an RSS feed that your friends and family can subscribe to!
No, you can't load emblems on the blog here -- you could in one post, but not like if you used a blogger platform like Blogger or Typepad, in a permanent sidebar spot that would always appear.

To leave a link to your posting, simple create the blog post, hit "publish" and then copy the address URL at the top of the page. Paste that URL into the comment where you want it to go.

Becky, scroll to the bottom of your web page and click on the RSS feed icon. You can also often find the same button on the URL/address bar on the far right hand side.
Becky, when I click the RSS icon, I don't get anything with "blanks" to fill in. I just click it and it asks me if I want it in Google Reader or on my Google Homepage. I'm sorry! That step takes you off the Planet and onto the Internet.... you'll have to ask someone who can see your screen to help you!
You weren't a pain at all! That's what I'm here for -- to answer questions and help you get the most out of your experience here on the Planet. :)

I keep getting the following message:

A problem occurred retrieving this RSS feed.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Lisa

Lisa, I'm sure I can help you, but I need more information.  Can you give me a link to the blog that you're trying to link up?
