Anyone from Canada?
Hello! I thought it would be neat to see if there's some ppl here that are from Ontario, Canada! I'm from the Georgina area, right on Lake Simcoe. We woke to snow this morning. Just a dusting, but wasn't prepared! It's been trying to snow off and on all day. Certainly colder than the last week or so!! Great Canadian Weather!! I don't mind the cold, because it's a reason for me to hit my scrapbook room and stay there!!

I'm not in Ontario but Detroit and we got the same weather, and like you I was so not ready! Bring on the chick flicks, coffee and scrapping I'm not going out in that! Eww!
Lol can you say diva? Lol yeah we just got a dusting but I'm so not excited with what I know it's bringing and what the heck, it was 70 something just last week! Grr Michigan Weather! I'm all set to go to Miami who's with me? :D

Hi Karen I'm from Terrace Bay, ON. 2hrs east of Thunder Bay. It did the samething here yesterday. There was a thin layer of snow on the ground last night but it was gone this morning. Myself I hate winter and the cold. At least not a winter like last year anyway. Let's hope for a bit warmer and less snow this year.
Like you I spend most of it inside. A skier or snowmachiner I'm not. Especially at -30. I load trucks with pulp for a living. Freaking cold trucks in the winter. By the time I get home all I want is to get warm. Like you said an excellent reason for indoor hobbies. I just hate that it's 5:30 and it's pitch black outside this time of year. Come on spring!

I'm from Ontario...I live about a 20 minute drive from the Algonac, MI border. I didn't get any snow at my house last night but as I was driving to work this morning, I noticed a slight dusting of snow on the ground. I am so not ready for snow...I I'd rather be indoors watching a movie or making some cards while snuggled in a blanket and drinking some hot chocolate. I'm so ready for it to be spring again!!

Sarah - I hear ya! I'm not a big winter person at all! I like your idea of being snuggled up in a blanket and making cards!
Beth - Wow, your quite a ways up there! Did you end up with any snow today? As I said to Sarah, I don't like the cold either. I don't mind when it's below 0 in single digits and the snow is falling...kinda like a xmas card, but I like watching it from INSIDE...while I do my cards!
Nikki - My MIL moved here from Detroit and we go through there when we go to Florida. You're not that far at all. About 5 hours. I'll come to Miami..when are we leaving???

no snow today but -9C this morning. It's supposed to be sunny with a high of -2. We'll see. It's calling for rain tomorrow but if it stays this cold it will definitely be snow. I'm not fond of this inbetween time of year. Not good for traveling.

Morning Beth! It's cold here this morning too. I see they're calling for rain. The snow is supposed to start next week. I'm hoping it holds off. We just have a few more things to get put away. Canadian winters huh? I too don't like this in between stage. Our town parade is next wknd as well. Christmas is coming WAY to fast...especially for those of us who haven't started shopping yet!

Hi Karen! I'm doing my PhD in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible at U of T. So right now I'm studying the last of my comprehensive exams (qualifying exams) before starting the dissertation. Unfortunately, it means I've done little crafting lately! I've been studying all summer and fall and don't feel like I really enjoyed and now winter is here and am totally not ready for it!

Hi Sarah! Welcome!
NS is a place I would love to visit!! It looks so pretty there. My mom was in Halifax a few yrs ago and she had an amazing time. Friends of ours, their son was in 'The Memory Keepers Daughter', which was filmed there, said the same. It's definately on my 'places to see' list!

Hi Sarah
enjoy that mild weather while you can. Even with the sun out this morning we only reach -4. The sun has decided to hide for the rest of the day and it's getting damp and cold.
