Hi! I'm Tim with
Hambo Stamps. Just wanted to post some coloring techniques. I've seen questions about coloring and I wanted to throw this into the mix.
When I do images that have large areas to cover I will sometimes use
Derwent Inktense Pencils. I'm not good enough with a brush to do fine detail so I just put in large areas of color then go over it with Prismacolor Pencils. The Inktense colors are... as the name implies.. intense! They make the images pop in my opinion. They're just another option out there. The initial cost for a set of 24 is around $30 but they will last a long time.
You can either draw on the paper then use a wet brush or blender or just wet the tip and paint it on with the brush. I've seen people break off a bit of the tip and put it in a small vial of water and let it soak for a uniform intense wash.
Here's a pic of our latest
digital images using these pencils. Like I said Prisma's are used for tighter detail. Hope this helps someone or stirs up some creative juices!
Thanks for looking and happy coloring!
Tim
