Hi everyone... I'm pretty new to the Copic Markers and was wondering if the blenders are like SU's blenders in that they pick up color as you use them?? Do I need more than one? I tend to like to use a light blender pen and dark blender pen for SU's but was wondering if Copic Blenders work the same. Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Hi, Tina. I'm not a Copic expert by any means, but here goes--LOL! The Copic blender is more like an eraser than a blender. It lifts color off instead of blending it together. You can use the same blender for all the colors, so you only need one.
I will throw in my two cents worth here too. Think of the copic blender pen as more of a repeller. It actually pushes color away, moving it from the area being applied. While I do use mine to "move" color from an area where I have accidentally colored, what the plender pen does is push the color from the place where I don't want it because I can use the blender pen to push the color away from where I DON't want it (see here for a great explanation of how to use your blender pen to fix a mistake), and HERE is another great ariticle about how the blender pen actuially works.

Hope this helps a little.
O girl I am new to copics also and they scare me, I have two blenders and a refill. They are pretty much my eraser. I read the blog site that Lynn mentioned quit often. That gal at I like Markers is amazing.........
