Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

Ok ladies, I need your help! I cannot decide which to get, the Cricut Expression or the Slice. It seems I would like the portability of a machine (but how often would I take it with me), I don't like that I'm limited to size of die cuts. I like the idea of using software to create my own diecuts with the CE. I just wanted to hear from ladies that own either or both and let me know what you love about them or dislike about either.
Thanks so much!! :)

I love my Cricut... It makes great diecuts from 1"- 20" I hve used it to make Vinyl Wall Quotes, making coloring books, even for glass etching on some plain glass vases I have. I don't know much about the slice.
I don't have a Slice. I have my Cricut Expression. I love it. You can take it with you. It is not that big. I have taken mine on trips with me to use when I got there. I use my Cricut more then anything else. You can make it as big as you like. With the Design Studio you can connect everything togeather. They also have a program out that is called Sure Cuts A Lot. That uses your computer fonts to cut things out. You get free Fonts all over the inter net.
So I say use a Cricut and you will never ago back. LOL
I forgot to add. For the cutting mat on the Cricut. When it gets un lacky. No problem. Take your large Zig 2 way glue and put on your mat. Make sure that you clean off the mat with a moist baby wipe. Let it dry off and put your glue down. Let it dry. When it is wet it is blue. So wait until it turns clear. About 20 min. or so. Then your mat is like new. So don't let using the mat scar you off. I have been using mine for about a year now.
well to be honest I have very bad experience with the slice I had two slice machines, after the first one broke donw after 4 times using I got a new one and again within a week the software became crazy so brought that one back too and bought me a cricut expression and its sooooooooooo cool that machine I most deffinatly can recommend the cricut
Over on Splitcoaststampers there are a lot of comparisons of the machines. From what I have heard the CE beats the Slice by a mile.
I had to have the Slice got it for X-Mas last year used it to make one cut didn't like it. So on the shelf it sits collecting dust have been trying to sell it for months. I have the E and love it use it all the time. I use it to cut my own photo mats.

The slice you have to hold on to. The E load and walk away to do something else. I have limited amount of crafting time and try to want to do the most in the least amount of time.
I don't have the Cricut Expression but it's smaller brother the Original. But that's enough for me because I only use craften or scrapping for making cards. For card size things the original is big enough.
And yes, I got mine a few weeks (2,5 months or so) back and love it. Everywhere on the net where I loooked, there were complains about the slice. You had to hold it very good and if you don't use enough force holding it, the paper will move and your product will be ruined. Also the software (?!) seems to have a lot of trouble.

But about the Cricut I only read compliments. And I joined in since I've got mine. It an absolute delight to work with it. It's easy to make things you don't have to stay with it. You got al sorts of things you can buy to expand the possibilities of the Cricut. Like embossing stuff, or coloring"pens" So you don't cut but draw your project.
It's on my wishlist :)
The Slice however is much cheaper. But if you can spare the money, I would really recommend the Cricut. (it's almost if I invented the thing but no, I'm just very enthouisiastic.
Oh and a tip for the peole who are using "sure cuts a lot": get some dingbats. There are some super cute design altough you have to make sure that the design you want to use can be cut in one piece. Otherwise you end up with a bunch of very small lose parts :)
Dingbats are fonts as well so you can use them with the sure cuts a lot.
Thanks everyone for all your GREAT replies!! I have bought a Cricut Expression and love it so far!! I need to get the Design Studio and Sure Cuts Alot then I'll be all SET! ;)
