I purchased a punch from Walmart last summer and had issues with it from the get go.
Because of our recent move, l was unable to find the receipt, but took it back to Walmart in the hopes that they would exchange. They wouldn't give me the exchange because they no longer carry these punches.
So, l thought l would give it a try and contact the company directly.
Tuesday of this week, l emailed EK Tools and told them of the issue. They emailed back and asked me to include a photo of the punch, which l did. Wednesday l receive an email to inform me that they have shipped me a new punch, no need to return my broken one and hope that l will continue to use their product.
I couldn't believe the speedy response from EK Tools.
Kudos to a company that stands behind their product and customers.
I wanted to share this discussion with you to spread the word about this great company. What better place to discuss then where everyone meets.

Hope this helps.
I am still waiting for my punch to arrive which l am sure will take time shipping.
Let me know how you make out.
Punches are not cheap and when they are defective and don't work, alittle disheartening.

Permalink Reply by Judy Shuck on February 15, 2011 at 10:49am Glad to hear that you had positive results. Mine was mailed out on the 7th of this month, anxiously awaiting arrival. What would we do without online resources and feedback. Keep me posted when you receive your replacement.
I had something similar with two Fiskars punches bought
in the States whilst visiting. I also had to send photos and
two new punches were sent to an address in the States. I
agree with Marge when she says 'kudos to a company that stands
behind their product and customers'. I wrote back to Fiskars to
thank them and told them that I would definitely be buying their
products in the future - which, of course, I did! Nothing
like visiting craft shops in the States.
