I use it with card stock and I love it. If you are using regular paper then you need to use a very light touch. I also love the envelope guide that comes with it. I bought a Scor-pal before I bought the Martha Stewart and have not used it since I got the MS Scoring board. DT
i've just ordered one of these from a US ebay seller and desperately waiting for it to arrive here in the UK.
can i just ask what size embossing tool would you recommend as i have a few in different sizes.
many thanks x
Permalink Reply by Mary Halliburton on February 25, 2012 at 2:58am I have an MS Scor Board and really love it. I have had good luck using the bone folder that came with it, but using a stylus might work better, will have to try that. I looked at both scor boards and really thought the MS was the best for me.
Permalink Reply by Cariad on February 27, 2012 at 6:07pm I have a Hougie Board ( UK ) and have recently bought a MS board. I have to say so far I prefer the Hougie board. I do like the smaller divisions of the MS board but the Hougie Board has both imperial and decimal measures and has a slightly wider grove so the paper doesn't rip. I've abandoned the tool that coms with the MS board and use an embossing tool instead.

Permalink Reply by Bernie on April 16, 2012 at 4:00pm I had some other scoring pads that were not easy to use but when Stampin' Up! came out with Simply Scored, I just love it! The score pad has 1/4" incements and the stylus is smooth with a larger end for paper and a smaller end for heavier cardstock. And now they have the Diagonal Plate that fits on top and makes wonderful techniques and envelopes. I have a video of the Diagonal Plate on my website if you want to see how it works at http://stampwithbernie.com (It is the February posts).
