I don't know if this will work for you but for small imbellishments I put cup hooks on the undersides of my bottom shelves. If you have any space between your shelves and desk you could put the hooks closer to the back of the shelf so they would be out of your way.

I am currently changing the system that I am using....I was using cd jewel cases in a wire basket that fit perfectly but when I travel that didn't work so well. I am now trying a cd wallet type of case 5.5"x6.5" with a magnet closure. I'll let you know how it works now lets see if I can get a picture up for you.

ive been using the ctmh envelopes taht the stamps come in with. Has worked great for storage.
i only have the circle and oval scallop ones and just bought the square ones, so dont need to much room. maybe when i get the rectangular ones, i will need a bigger envelope but for right now, those work perfectly ;)

I only have a few at the moment, I'm waiting for the ones i've seen on their blog to be released. So far i just have large scalloped circles, squares and rectangle and the classic large rectangles.
