Scrappy Sunday 7/12/09
OK, I have a confession to make. I hate this week's sketch!! I NEED you guys to play along so I don't get a complex!! LOL. Seriously, it seemed like a good idea at the time I was sketching it, but when I sat down and tried to come up with a layout....it just wasn't happening!! I don't know if it's really that hard of a sketch to work with or if my scrappin' MoJo has just deserted me this week or what. But I could NOT, no matter how hard I tried, force a decent sample layout out of this darn sketch!!! So please, play along this week and prove me wrong - show me it's a "workable" sketch!! Our talented guest designer, Kristin, sure didn't seem to have any trouble with it as you can see from her sample!
The sketch was inspired partly by a layout I saw in a recent scrapping magazine I was flipping through while traveling last month, but I can't for the life of me remember which one!! If this looks familiar, let me know!
Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch and use either as many or as few photos as you'd like - whatever works for the memories you're documenting!! If you play along this week, be sure to use the tag sb071209 (all lower case) so we can find your layouts! And remember, all forms of scrapbooking - traditional, digi and hybrid are welcome!!
And here's Kristin's awesome digi layout - she used Pop Goes the World by Dani Mogstad, Date Bits 14 by Misty Cato, and Bad Sewing Machine squares by Traci Reed (all available at Sweet Shoppe Designs).
I can't wait to see what you all come up with. I'm hoping all of you will inspire me and I'll actually get a layout completed this week!!

I thought I posted this earlier today but I guess not. Ha ha! I flipped it and did another this morning... this is one of my favorite sketches ever!
