Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

Hi, I started stamping several months ago and have signed up to sell at a couple of craft fairs before Christmas. I have individual cards and card sets in clear boxes. Any suggestions on creative ways to display them? I don't want to spend money on a fancy display until I know if they will sell. Any one that has had success selling at craft fairs can you give me an idea of your prices etc.

I've never done a craft fair, but this is really a great topic for discussion!
Hi, I'd also like to learn about more options on where to sell cards - I have an Etsy shop but haven't sold a thing yet. Looking for tips!
This is a great topic! I am doing one craft fair in December and I have baskets for my cards. I also have some frame stands to hold mini books. Hope this helps!
Do you have the cards in bags? (clear)
No, because a lot of my cards have a lot of detail inside that I want people to see. I will put them in bags once someone has purchased them. You also my check with local gift shops to see if they would like to sell your cards.
What does the frame stands look like? know i am late in the discussion, hope you can see my question.
I haven't done a craft fair either, but I did it at a Jewlery show with a friend and her booth. I had a nice box for all Bday cards, and a basket for other occasions. I also have these clips I have for holding photos, and I used that as my display.
I have done a couple.... i used toast racks to display the cards. They are cheap and effective ans people can easily see the card at the front and this entices them to rifle through and have a look.
great idea - toast rake - any idea where to get them - I'm going to check ebay right now.
I don't know in the US, maybe a homewares type store.
Mine were only $3.00nz each so about $1.50US. I got them at a discount chain store.
hi everyone..

i do fairs regularly..and have had varied results....heres a synopsis of my experiences:

displaying my cards (when i first started out) in baskets and boxes etc was not inviting to customers...the seemd to have limited interest in going thru cards that way...even tho i had then divided by subject.....occasion....type of card etc...

potential customers also seem to like buying papercrafted products..especially at the holiday time...(ie..i made tea cups our of cs..from a template..filled them with candy...BIG seller)..i like to use pretty baskets etc for these specialty items..

after limited success selling this way.(boxes..baskets etc) in invested in beautiful lucite display racks made specifically for greeting cards..from a company called "clear solutions"....i could not be happier....i have various displays racks from that company...diff styles etc)..they truly make a table at a fair look inviting..and now i notice that customers will stad at my table and look at ALL of the cards...i LOVE my display now..and its easy to transport and set up.

as for pricing..that has been a trial and error process..and i have finally found that $2.50 per card (and 3/6.00) seems to work best....if i have a card that is a featured card..i will price it slightly higher..

here where i live.....this price seems to be well received by customers..

i hope that this information has been helpful..

i am always eager to hear what others have experiened and found to work well..so i'll be checking back for other responses.

i am new to this website...so i'll try to experiment around and see if i can post a link to a picture of my clear display racks..
