Tim is the man!

Who has been following Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas? That man amazes me! I'm obsessed and have checked into his blog all 12 days! I'm even sitting here tonight finally playing with all my great Ranger products trying out all the techs. I even made the uber messy snow he made! Let's show off what you have come up with using his techs! What have you come to find out works and doesn't??? Any tips??

I found out tonight that...
*Distress embosing powder doesnt' like embossed grungeboard
*You can use archival ink and stamp on grungeboard that has been painted with crackle paint but really let it dry first.
*The metal mixatives doesn't work well with a toothbrush... I need to find his uber cool brush for this
* Distress stickles are great for coloring in stamped images
* Yes you can put too much perfect pearls in when making the reinker mist

I love Tim he is the man...I have the brush he uses it is used alot in Ceramics. But let me warn you on it as well it does take some skill with it as well...lol. It always looks easier by the pro's...lol

I'm a tag makin' fool over here lol! I can't share them until sat though :( QKD will be having 12 days of Christmas and they will be a part of that!!! )

I did figure out that if I use the metal mixatives with a toothbrush I can hit the toothbrush with my stiple brush and it helps "spray" the mixative across my tags! I do believe that is my new most favorite tech I walk away with from this year! I have silver and gold now to find bronze and copper! My poor pocket book!

I've been a Holtz fan for a while now thanks to Robin here I was able to get the last ink I needed! I think my next purchases will be the 19 reinkers I don't have yet, silver crackle paint, and the rest of the alcohol inks! LOl thank goodness for J's 50% off coupons I'm off to the store tomorrow to see what I can find!
