Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

Hi, All,

I'd like to write something personal in my cards, even poetry or rhymes, and have it look like it was stamped.  We have two printers, color and black and white, and neither one of them will print heavy cardstock without mangling the paper.

I have had people recommend printers to me, but none are anywhere near the current models in the stores, and I'd like to be sure that any NEW printer that I buy will do the job. Has anyone bought one recently that is a gem?  I'd LOVE to know!

And, have you found a way to keep color inkjet pages from bleeding with any moisture?

Or is it necessary to get a laser printer to use all of the digital files that are more and more available so that you can be sure that your cards are great quality?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Thanks a bunch!

My personal experience....I have never been able to run cardstock through a laser printer. I did purchase an HP Officejet 4500 in fall of 2010 and it is a gem for card stock run just about every card I make thorugh it. I made my purchase through Staples with some kind of a coupon if you brought in a dead printer and got it for about $50! I'm happy with it. Best wishes
