OK, I saw this at Archiver's and HAD to make it. I loved the idea so much that I signed up right away to be our 3d host before Halloween.
Directions are here, but I have some changes and some tips for you.
First, punch holes in the center of the 1" circles and as you assemble the layers, using the hot glue, and thread the entire thing on a bamboo skewer as seen below.

This is not the way they did it at Archiver's, but I held their version and it wasn't as stable. Remember, you're making something fabulous, and you'd like it to be around more than one season.
Second, score ALL the paper before you cut it. You'll thank me later. Scoring it afterwards takes forever and all I could think of was the time wasted.
I think this is super cute just with the orange paper, but really, how fabulous would it be with patterned paper?
OK, your challenge for this week is to make one of these adorable paper pumpkins and then post it so that I can see how you did. They take about an hour if you use my time saving tips :)
Have a great week!

Permalink Reply by Penny Douphinett on October 21, 2011 at 11:31am I love it! I've made mine, but I didn't have 8 pieces of orange cardstock (I've made a LOT of Halloween cards), so I used various K&Co papers with orange in them and one piece of Sassafras paper. Hope you like it!
