August Vintage Card Swap

Hi, we have had a few requests for the return of the card swap so Karen and I will be organising this between us and I will start it of this month.

There’s a slight twist in this month’s swap. You will prepare some items from your stash, a minimum of 4 items; more can be added if you wish. Once you know who your partner is you will send them these items and they will make a card for you using only the items you have sent and return the completed card to you.

Examples of items you can add are. Backing sheet, ribbon, gems, flowers any small embellishments. Remember you will be posting these items probably overseas so make sure your package is well wrapped and not too bulky or heavy. When sending items abroad you are required to complete a label and you should always tick the gift box or this could end up with additional postage if it’s not treated as a gift.

There is no theme it is entirely up to you what kind of card you make However it should be Vintage. If anybody new hasn’t done Vintage before you could check Lyn’s lessons or have a look at tutorials on You Tube. There is also plenty Blogs where you can look at Vintage cards You can also ask your partner for help if you need it or you can send me a PM and I will talk you through it.

Please be ready to post your items as soon as you know who your partner is. I will post the partners list on 10^th August. So you only have till 9th August to sign up.

As this is a two way project this swap will run a bit longer so you must aim to have the completed card sent back to your partner before the end of September.

I know some countries take longer for post than others so please allow for that and get your items and completed card in the post as soon as possible for a quick return.

Before you sign up for this swap make sure you are ready by 10^th August to send your items to your partner. Please also be sure that you will have the time to act quickly when you receive your items to make the card and return it as soon as possible.

There’s no point in signing up for this swap if you can’t commit to the time required to complete the swap. Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

I am aware that things can happen that prevent people from completing their swap so please get in touch with me if you have any problems and I will step in and take over your swap.

Can I ask for 2 *Angels willing to help me out if necessary.

So to sum this swap you are required to

A make up a pack which should have at least 4 card making items and

B send it to your partner as quickly as possible and

C make a Vintage card from the items you receive and return your completed card to your partner asp.

I will set up a slide show of the cards so please give your card the tag ATVCSAug Type it exactly as you see it to enable me to pick them up and add them to our slide show.

Please keep in touch throughout the swap. Let us know when you receive your first package. Also check in when you have posted your card. We would also like to know when you receive a completed card. Take a photo of the card and post in the discussion with the tag VMACSAug

You have till 9^th August to sign up. This is shorter time than most of our swaps because of the time needed for posting the first package then the completed card.
