Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

Happy New Year everyone and may it be a great year ahead for us all.

I am very pleased to be able to join Lyn and Lilian here at "All Things Vintage" to scatter some sweetness with monthly swaps.

I am hoping you will all join me in making a swapping integrity pledge.  This is important if swaps are to run sweetly and smoothly.  Please copy and paste the following into your reply when you sign up, using your own name of course.

Swapping Integrity Pledge

I Karen Oliver hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner.

Now onto the swap - In times gone past nothing was wasted, all things were reused and repurposed very little was thrown away.  This got me to thinking about all the "stuff" I have and how easy it is to buy that little something else instead of taking the time to make it myself.  So I got out some fabric and have been making my own embellishments.

When you sign up for January's Scattering of Sweetness you will recieve a small envelope which will contain squares of vintage fabric, some pearls and some buttons. You will  use the contents, and of course you may like to add things of your own, to make embellishments for your partner to use.  Inside the envelope will also be the name of your partner.

Sign up by the 15th of January to participate.

All envelopes will be posted by the 20th of January.

Hopefully by the 1st of February everyone will have received their envelope.

Make your embellishments and endevour to have them in the mail by the 15th February.

So yes this swap will run over January and February but in the mean time take a look at Lilians Friendship pages and Lyns card challenge.  You are sure to learn a lot and enjoy a little vintage sweetness while you wait for your envelopes to arrive.

This is the list of participants.

Swapping Integrity Pledge

I Lilian Moir hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner.

hope Ive done this right. but i cant seem to change the font size and colour .I too live a fair distance and mail can somtimes take longer to reach me but I would stil like to sign up but  my partner should be  made aware that what I send them might take a little longer to reach them.

This is  brilliant idea Karen its good to have you here to bring us such interesting and fun challenges. In sending each of us an envelope will cost you quite a bit I would imagine. You shouldnt be left out o pocket so  I would be happy to pay for the postage myself.  If you have a Pay Pal account you could send me an invoice to cover the pastage for my envelope. Unless you know of another way I can repay you.

I like this Karen and I would like to join. Of course I will make this pledge with you.

Karen, this sounds wonderful!  I'm off to church and will be back later today.  So excited for 2012!!!!!

I Diana Hammond hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner. I did not put this in the first time so now so here is my pledge.

I'd love to join in .. this is going to be fun! I don't recall if you are on my friends list so I will maybe have to send you a request so that you can get my address details , ok? : )

I Mel W hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner.

I hope you and I get paired Mel. What fun we will have.

Karen this sure sounds like fun. I am still in the Netherlands till 16 Feb., but I just realised that if I get mine sent here I can still take part, I agree with Lilian that you should not have to bear the cost of all the postage.  I will put my pledge uphere, and if it is OK, I will then send you my addy here in NL.

I Ursula Uphof hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner.

Sending you warm wishes

Yes of course Ursula thats a great idea.  I am sure you could find a needle and thread and that will probably be all you will need.

I Sandy Larsen hereby pledge to do my very best, to have integrity and honesty in my swap commitments. To be on time, to participate in discussions, and to communicate if I am going to be late or unable to complete my obligations to my swap partner.

Morning ladies

Thanks for signing up and also for taking the pledge.  Its so nice to be back together.

To answer your questions;

I have set the dates above just as a guide only and  realise that some mail will take longer than others but I am hoping that by doing this over January and February we will have plenty of time for everyone to complete the swap.

Now ladies aren't you just lovely - please don't worry about the postage.  I did my homework and so long as I keep my envelopes to a certain size and thickness all will be fine.  I want to do this so please don't worry and I have loads of fabric and pearls and buttons that I would love to share with you all and I also happen to have a pile of envelopes.
