About Anything But Cute Challenge Group
I'm am so excited to be moderating this group! My idea of Anything But Cute may be best described by first defining what cute is so here goes:
Cute is cartoon-like characters.
Cute is drawings of children, especially with large eyes and large heads, or no eyes at all.
Cute is doodled characters.
Cute is teddy bears.
Cute is my first reaction of awwwwwww, how cute, and then I get a warm fuzzy feeling.
Now that we have an understanding of what cute is, we can easily get to the purpose of our non-cute group and to making non-cute cards. We run weekly challenges with 2 week deadlines.
What you can do now is join this group first so you can make comments, add your ideas, or read other comments being posted. Feel free to Add a Discussion topic here or jump in on topics as they are added.
If you are new to Paper Craft Planet, I have some great directions to help you upload cards and find our group album, so feel free to ask for help. We were all new here once and getting you to feel comfortable navigating the Planet is part of what I do as your Group leader, so just ask!
2011 is now upon us and with that comes a fresh and new beginning to our group. With that said, we will no longer be judging cards with a winner and runner up on Sundays. The fact that you post your cards to our group album makes you all winners in my book! I encourage all of our members to post to our weekly challenges as we love seeing your creative interpretations! Please continue to comment on each other's cards to promote group interaction. My purpose is to stimulate and stretch your creative process in new directions and to help you grow as paper artists.

Just stopping in to say "Hi" to everyone! Finished my fall semester at school right before Christmas & now have projects here at home to focus on until the spring semester begins on Jan 23. One of those projects will be trying to get as many cards made as possible for the early part of 2012 as my class work is going to keep me super busy next semester. I'm supposed to be writing up our annual year-end family letter today; I'd like it printed and mailed by the end of this week. Otherwise, not much happening here except enjoying the time off from school. Hope your holidays were good and the new year will be filled with many blessings!

Hi! It doesn't fit in with the challenges, but I thought I would share my first non-cute card. I joined the site in the Spring and started a blog, but wasn't really able to craft very much through the Summer. I haven't posted it on my blog yet, so this is it's debut. =) It's a birthday card for a coworker. Hope she likes it!
