I can't say we are even having much of a winter here in Upstate New York but we know the snowfall is coming (like on Tuesday!) and it will be winter and we will be cold (or blue)! Hence, January is 'Winter Blues' Month! All four of our ‘weekly’ card challenge themes will need to stay within the ‘monthly’ theme of Winter Blues!!!! So, dig out all of your blue papers and see what you can create!
Meanwhile, take a ‘Magical Day’ photo on 1/1/12! Take a photo of something or someone that captures your attention. We’ll be using our Magical Day photo for our Week 5 card challenge!
With that said, here's our lineup of challenge themes this month:
Week 1 (1/1): Thank you (Lots of presents to thank people for!)
Week 2 (1/8): I Love Winter! (This might be a stretch for some of us!)
Week 3 (1/15): Thinking of You (We can always let someone know we care)
Week 4 (1/22): Sympathy (I never seem to have a card handy for these times)
Week 5 (1/29): A Magical Day Photo Card (Feel free to post your photo in the Comment Section!)
Did you know Benjamin Moore paints has named Wythe Blue as their top color pick for 2012 and are forecasting blue being big in 2012? Who knows what color Wythe Blue is???? Just click HERE to find out!!!!
There is no order to posting cards, just make whatever theme you want in any week order. The only criteria is they all have to be blue! Of course, you can use other colors, but the dominant one is BLUE!
Post a comment when you've uploaded a card for the slideshow. Please add the tag ABCJAN12 (exactly as typed) to all challenge themes this month. Also, when you add the card to your gallery, label it Week 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 OR the title of the theme as it's more fun to know exactly what theme you're posting to.
Have fun and hope you're having a wonderful New Year's Day!!!

My Andrew went out to take some photos for me today . he went to our church and took some photos/ then he decided to look round the grave stones to see if he could find a really old one. he found one dating back to 1618. I'm dying for him to download them to see if there sre sny strange images in the photos. I will post a picture here just as soon as I have a photo.

Permalink Reply by Lyn Bernatovich on January 3, 2012 at 11:31am This year I'm going to say some key words like 'how sweet' or 'how darling' when an image is cutesy. Just find a non-cute image and make the same card!
Well I already have blue CS out as that is what I used on my Christmas cards and I need to write a thank you note for a couple of people, so week one is very do-able. Especially now that everyone is back to school/work and I have the house to myself again. AND IT IS MY FAV COLOR :)
