I'm glad you found some that you like! I'll try to remember that about the Alice stamps.

I love the Alice in wonderland one I found in the bunch, Disney's Mickey and Pinocio w Jimminy ( nick name for hubby-LOL ) and the Dr. Suess.  The Tiffany ones are awesome too.  I will have lots to work with.  I will share with you what I make, never know you might just get something in your mailbox.  : )

If you come across any more Alice ones you know where to send em.  ; )

Thanks, Cathie, for the feedback! I gathered from my talk with our postmaster that he's not going to give me any tips for how to mail my cards that will benefit both of us. :o(  Ah well! the next card I mail I'll try your idea with the lightweight card over the embellishments instead of the bubble wrap.

So glad the envelope of stamps reached you okay! I do hope there was enough variety in it to give you some fun. As I was sorting, it seemed that I had tons of the common ones and not so many of the different commemoratives.

Ah Cindy,

We know what you mean.  I have been guilty in posting cards with lumps and bumps and trying to get them to squeeze through the slot.  ; )  One trick is to not use bubble wrap as it adds air and can puff up an envy so it won't fit through the said slot.  You can use lightweight card over the card front and it helps protect any raised embellishment or brad from puncturing the envy.  Or another trick I use is to seal the outside of the envy with packing tape after it has been postmarked that way they won't add any more postage for weight and you get to use their tape too.  LOL  I don't want to stick to making just flat or unembellished cards either so I'm learning a few tricks.  Even  my postal workers give me tips.  I just never think to write them down when there and by the time I get home I've forgotten what they are.  LOL  If I remember any more I will pass it on.

PS  I got your parcel of postage stamps today.  Woo hoo there's lots of interesting ones in the bunch and I will have fun playing with them.  Thanks!  : )

Hi, ladies! I was thinking about my earlier posts RE paying postage on my cards and realized that I may have inadvertently stepped on some toes by equating flat cards with boring. I was just looking at some of my Pinterest pins, realizing that flat doesn't have to be boring. I guess the problem for me is that I've gotten to like adding stuff to my cards, whether layers, popped-up elements, or embellishments, and it's hard to just make a flat card again. I don't do the whole Clean & Simple thing very well. That's not to say that I layer it on every card I make, either, but I think you get my point. So another challenge...My apologies to anyone I may have offended in my earlier post.

I've just posted a June swap if anyone is interested. This will be fun.
