There's nothing like a CAS card when you actually "need" a card in a hurry! This week's lesson idea is lifted directly from hotel shower cap packaging. We have retail stores here called Black and White and I also happen to wear a lot of black and white too, so this week's lesson fits for me! I started with black and then just cut my white panel 1/4" smaller on all sides. The key is to stamp your images off the edge of the paper. I also purposely used different flower textures to add interest. Work within the rule of threes for balance which is the 3 different flower designs. I didn't have one giant flower as in the packaging, so I adapted to what I had.
Here's the packaging that inspired my idea:
Can you believe how much inspiration this has provided? It is your turn now, so show me your stuff! Are you worried about the inside of the card being black? Just cut another white panel 1/4" smaller and glue it to the inside.
I would love to see your black and white card designs! Tag your card CAS38 and let me know that you posted to your gallery so I can paste it to a group album. Hope you can play along!
