Just keeping myself pretty busy lately with my start to Spring cleaning chores which began with my craft room. I've made the decision NOT to sew wearable patterns anymore and concentrate on my sewing need with crafting patterns instead. Because of that I've listed all my unct patterns on my new store site: Dizzy Designs Store (any of you sewer's out there may want to browse the PATTERNS Category). I have been and will be listing a variety of Spring cleaning things in addition to things I make on a weekly basis so visit often! :0)

And "another thing"! "UGH!" My computer went kapluee! I went from Windows XP to Windows 7 "which meant" that my vintage scanner isn't compatiable with the darn program ... so I'm down "from scanning" any new digi images I have drawn and looking for a new/affordable scanner to replace the vintage model - hate giving it up because it and I have been together for a very long time :0( and know it's in's and out's.

Just wanted you to know that I'm still working on things and the reason for the set back! :0)

Geeeeezzzzz! It's 2012 and I've been so "Valentine Day" busy since the new year began!! "UGH!" Everyone wants me to create 'something' for them to gift-give - I enjoy it, however, it's sometimes challenging to create - especially when I'm 'doing up' a hair-brain crochet pattern idea. BUT! Finally I came up with this, Mad-dalyn Heart.

Mad-dalyn Heart was named so because after placing my felt fabric eyelashes permanently to the heart hubby told me it 'looked' mad. So I said, "Yeah it's saying, "Mad about you!'" Therefore the name of this one. I'm now doing one in pink with gold curly-locks!

Reason why I designed this too-cute-character is for my granddaughter's Valentine gift, which is Avon's Kiss Me Watch that I'm giving her. So I wanted the "hugs" as well - wella the heart with arms and legs (even too cute shoes) for it to hold the boxed watch (which I'll wrap up with V-day paper and attach to the back of the heart swinging the arms back as if Mad-dalyn has a "surprise." The arms will then be moveable to the front.

I'm selling just the Mad-dalyn figure (red or pink) for $6.50 + *shipping. The Mad-dalyn figure and the Avon Kiss Me Watch included $26.39 + *shipping.(**Whatever the cost would be to ship to you)

Of course these are just some of the cute pose's and even hubby got a good chuckle out of seeing what it turned out to look-like ... just what I imagined! :0)

I'm still wondering what would be the best way to make it available to you without having to do the intricate cutting involved with chipboard, which really is the strength to it's form. Any suggestions? :0) Diane

It's "time" to get back to basic's and just concentrate on only offering DZ Doodles Digital Stamp PCP Members "Freebie-Fun Images" and projects once again. And "yes!" we'd really enjoy seeing what you create as well ... so, attach all that you come up with!! :0)

I don't know if you've seen my gifted Halloween project that I 'worked around some Avon products' ? It definitely turned out cute and you can view the How-To details on some of my Oodles of Doodles News blog posts... plus there's yummy Halloween recipes and other projects too!

These are the items I placed inside and then there's an image of the outside.

Hi Doodlers!

If you asking yourself "where the heck is Diane?" I have an answer for you ... amoungest my activities these past few weeks of cutting, sewing & creating "jeans'" purses for those who threw a pair of jeans at me (after seeing the one I made myself), I've also been busy crocheting an assortment of winter scarfs, hats and mittens for family and friends Christmas gift-giving orders, and as their gifts!!! Between that I've been visiting the Chiroprator 3-times a week - and after 5-weeks of doing so, I'm a NEW PERSON!

With that being said, Ive also been really busy creating unusual box designs for gift-giving, however, because of 'size' they won't be available as downloadable templates - that would ruin their design sizes - instead they will be made available in pre-cut & scored package sets and mailed to you, I will personally hand cut them. I'm really "swift" with and Xacto knife blade!! :0) And the more I make the faster I get & accurate! The problem is I haven't enough time to design-cut-create finished projects! :0( So here's a SHOUT OUT! Email me if you'd like to receive a "random" pre-cut, pre-scored boxe to mess around with ... your project will need to be returned to me and may debut with the box advertisement on DZ Doodles Oodles of Doodles News "Doohikey Projects" tab as a selling point for that box. It's up to you what you make of it!

Ok ... my brother's son's wife had an extremely difficult time getting pregnant and it didn't look like he would be having grandchildren. However, when the couple decided to buy a large home with a pool that changed everything! Funny how that works. She finally had a baby girl, and soon it will be her 1st birthday, which is a real celebration for them as well as all the relatives. I wanted to create something 'special' and as a keepsake type-thing. Below is what I struggled to come up with!!

Of course after creating that I thought, "we can't forget about boy's!" And this is the design I came up with for boys.

 

"YES!" I am insane! However, I am making the template designs available for other "insane" people who want to give this a go as well. I am creating the templates & trying to right up a 'simple' How-To this week. I'll try to add them to a OODN's post.

Now I have to warn you, these are cut-out using an Xacto knife blade and layering paper piece upon piece, also using SU's Circular Treat Cups - I would think that using scissors would possibly bend the materials as they were being made ... I don't know?! :0)

Back to the drawing board, I'm working as fast as I can ... but there doesn't seem to be enough time in my day to do all that I want to get done! Love to hear from you!
