Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

I have often admired cards made here at HM&F and wondered how they made it. I have also gone hunting for a particular card for inspiration and for the life of me I can't find it. I am proposing in this discussion that we make an album. I got this idea from another forum and with permission I am glad to offer it to you. Consider these to be like friendship pages. Each month we will take an image and use a technique of our choice.  This images will then would be swapped with one person. Cost would be no more then sending a card. On a separate piece of card stock you will record the technique you used including the make and colors of the medium you chose. You can include any other items you used such as glitter etc. These two item ( image and list) will be what you send to you chosen partner for that month. I have included a link to a tutorial of an album which I think would be super for this swap. if you wish to add your creation to the slide show then please tag your photo HMAT In this album you can place your swaps and use as a referral when you want to try something new or use a technique your partner sent. If you do not want to use this album, please feel free to design your own. I have posted in the slide show the album I will be using. Each month you will be given a new partner. This is an excellent way to share our expertise with each other. If you join in for the swap and cannot complete your obligation please let me know as soon as possible. It is very disappointing to make a card for someone and not get one in return. Sometimes life gets in the way and we all understand. If you join this month there is no obligation to join every month. You can always join again. I will post partners the day after the deadline for sign up. I hope you will find this inspiring and join me in make this the friendliest swap going.

Well, it is time for round 2 of our technique challenge and swap. This time I would like you to use a different medium for your cards then what you used the first time. remember this is to help us try something new as well as to see something new and inspire us to step out of our comfort zone.

I will Mary.Glad to have you join.

I have a question, I have never done an album. This is supposed to be a 6x6 size? The page we would make will go into

our partners album, so we make it a little smaller to fit on their actual page?  I hope I am making sense...lol

Did you look at the link with the tutorial I posted. The pages fit for this album. It is the one in the slide show. I used the measurements given in the video. It works well for a 41/4 by 51/2 image sheet. I am leaving it to your partner to put it into their album the way they want. I am putting my image on one side of the page and the list on the back. Now I hope I am making sense.

Yes I did watch the video, pretty simple, I guess I just want to make sure I am not sending her a page with eyelets and all, just an image sheet for her to put in her own album..now have I totally confused us both...LOL ??
