What is the best paper to use for printing digital stamps and coloring with Copics?

My daughter just sent me 23 Sketch Copic Markers, a good start on my collection which I hope to build.  I am new at using Copics, so need all the help I can get.  I have a Cannon Lazer printer, and would like to know what weight cardstock would be the best to use, so I don't get a lot of bleeding, and the paper sucking up my ink.  All info welcome.  If I am in the wrong place for these???? please let me know where I should go, and accept my appologies.  Joan

Gina K Design makes wonderful papers that work perfectly with Copic markers. Depending on your printer and the thickness of cardstock that it will handle, you may choose from her base weight (heavier) or the layering weight. Gina's 80# layering weight of white works GREAT with copics. You can check out this base weight cardstock here or the layering weight here.
I use this 120lb. paper. But, it may be too thick, depending on your printer. I have a HP Laserjet 1012 printer.
I also have this same printer, just used to using the lazer for so much of my printing.. I take it you do not have a problem with this weight paper. thanks for this info
No problems. I use the manual feed and only feed one sheet at a time.
Neenah Solar White #80 works great in my printer, the Gina K 120 was way too thick.
I use X-press it blending card but I'm from Australia so not sure if you can get it outside of OZ, Maianne Walker talks about the paper on her blog www.ilikemarkers.blogspot.com . I have no problem with just printing the images on my printer.
I do believe that the US will begin carrying this type of paper. I haven't used any of it, but I'm always looking for new papers to use with Copics. =)
I saw this paper at CHA. It's very nice but I won't be carrying it in my store until it is available in smaller packages. Right now it's only 125 sheets that retail for $60. I doubt my customers would drop $60 for paper so I'm holding off until they repackage into packs of 25 sheets or so.
Here you don't have to buy the whole lot, shops repackage it into smaller packs ie packs of 10 or if you buy 6 or more pens at once you get a few free sheets of paper that have been cut cut into A5 size. Just a thought for sales.
As a retailer... you have the option of repackaging the paper into smaller packs... which is what most stores are doing I believe.

We also suggest that if you can, have a few sheets cut into small pieces for your customers to try out first...
I use neenah paper its great and i have tried lots and always go back to my neenah
I have been using Neenah Solar White #80 but I still get some bleeding with certain colors. I'm going to try Gina K Design's paper. But it also depends on which ink you have used if your stamping. So far I'm only stamping and using the Copics. I have not started with digital images as yet!
