Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

Here we are approaching Spring………… I hope it is warming up wherever you are!
This month’s challenge is going to be to use your Cuttlebug folders. I have really enjoyed using mine and find I use it a great deal for backgrounds on my cards and it is perfect. BUT, yep, you heard that……….. we are not going to use the cuttlebug as a background but instead you have to use it as an accent. I absolutely love punching out pieces and the using different cuttlebug folders to emboss those different punched out pieces for my cards.

Rules: You must use at least 1 cuttlebug embossed accent/piece on the card but why stop there? Use lots of them, mix up the embossing and make a fun masterpiece! Then upload a photo of your card here in the PCP gallery and don’t forget to use the code word KLSNS04 so we can all look at them! Post a comment here so we can check em out!

Prizes: Of course, would Kelly even dream of NOT giving out a prize to you wonderful ladies that join us? You will be able to choose 1 cuttlebug folder and 1 Magnolia stamp of your choice from her inventory on KLStampinNScrappin. The winner will be chosen on May 1st so come and play along!

Fun challenge, Heidi -- I need an excuse to dust off my CB folders! Here's a card I made a few weeks ago, using seven folders. Sorry the photo is so huge; does anyone know how to decrease the size??

Jessica, if you click on reply, then at the top of the comment window, there is a little camera icon (add image), then choose thumbnail 300 pixels, it will show up smaller. You can always change the 300 to 400 or 500 to make it a little bigger than mine. Mine is at 300 pixels.

Btw, ladies, not to take away from Heidi's challenge, but if you haven't seen the KL SNS blog post about the Julius font set (valued at $159.99) you must hurry on over there to put your link to your creation in there to win too!! Ohh, I know how you stampers enjoy combining challenges, so your creation here should fit the bill for both!! :) Good luck everyone!!

Kelly
jessica, where are you pulling the picture from? Maybe that is the reason it is so large. I pulled mine here from my computer and to load it I didn't click upload files I used the little camera button on the post here. I wonder if that makes a difference. Or it could be the size of your photo, not sure. But I did think of this one so this is a perfect example! I am sure the ladies can come up with some more ideas.
Although your bigger photo shows off the detail SO nicely!! :) Kel
Heidi to avoid confusion, can we make the code word/tag KLSNS04? That would keep with the #'s we have had so far. Thanks!! :) Kel
Sure, let me see if I can change it, my photo won't be there but that is alright.
oooh, I think you can add your tag to your photo too
Great job to you BOTH!! I admit I've been using a lot of my gorgeous DP's but not my CBs, so this will be a super fun challenge. I'll try to do one tomorrow! :)
Popped past from Australia this afternoon to see what April's challenge will be - and I like it. Will have a brainstorm and see what I can come up with.

Even got myself moving around this thing and found out how to get updates in my emails, so will be on the ball more now!

(waves) Hi Kel! And Kris!

Heyyyy, girl!! :) Hugs
Heidi and Jessica, love your cards. Great job!

I can't play this month, I don't have a Cuttlebug.>:0( I know, I know who in this day and age does not have a Cuttlebug, well that would be me! lol I look forward to seeing what you ladies come up with. >:0)
I don't have a cuttlebug either, Tonya. I use the folders in my old Sizzix. :) I hear rolling pins work too but wow, that seems like a lot of work to me. Hope you are able to come up with some type of embossing method so you are not left out. We will definitely miss you this round if you can't play. :( Kel
