Wow, the holidays were busy and happy but the aftermath in my house is just a mess!! I saw an article in the January Better Homes and Gardens about decluttering your home and live and that is certainly where I am at right now!! The magazine also had a color inspiration for colors that have been grayed (or mixed with a little gray) so that is our inspiration for this month. We had a preview last month with real red and basic gray but this month we are going to try to use softer grays and if you want to foloow the BHG suggestion try making cards simple with fewer layers and fuss. This will be a challenge for me and I completely failed this week with the fuss part but I will make more of an effort to stay simple and clean the rest of the month!!!

Week1: Gray and a grayed green

For me I used basic gray, whisper white, pear pizzazz, and a little bashful blue

Week 2: Gray and yellow

Basic gray, natural, so safaron, daffodil, pumpkin pie and whisper white

The snow really did us in here in Georgia. we have honestly been inside since Sunday!! My husband and daughter got out Wednesday afternoon to go to the store but I did not venture out until Thursday morning. I am suspecting that we will go back to school tomorrow for a partial day at least. Meanwhile I have gotten some quilting done and some card making and scrapping!!!

Week 3: Gray and blue

So blue and gray were fun to work with!! I used tempting turquoise, basic gray, kraft, bashful blue, whisper white, daffodil and a pinch of saffron!!

It's cold again here in Atlanta so jI am just going to stay in and used this catch up week to design next month's challenge...Hope you are staying warm and card creating too!!!
