Hello, can you hear me at the back?!
We have over 1,000 members and it would be nice to hear from those who are active, also to have a quick intro so newbies (and not so newbies) get to know us in the friendly group.
I'm Anne, I live in the Berkshire racing village of Lambourn. Phindy's are some of the first digis I ever bought and I fell completely in love with them. I was very honoured to be asked to lead the Design Team when Phindy set it up and I feel I have grown and developed as a crafter since I've been on the DT. I've been making cards for around 3 or 4 years now, before that my main craft was quilting, which has now taken a bit of a back seat to cards.
I am married to an understanding husband who ties his fishing flies and understands about craft stash, we have 2 teenage sons, 2 horses and a terrier. I like to craft, ride, read, cook, go horseracing, walking. Something you might not know about me: I'm a complete anorak about the Rolling Stones and their music, on the first online forum I joined I called myself Stargroves, after the house where so much iconic music was recorded, that is why my blog is called Stargroves:)
OK ladies who will go next :)

I'm Dorinda from Arkansas. I've just started cardmaking in the past few months. I do check back occasionally to see what's going on but usually don't post for time restraints.
I think the creations from Phindy are so beautiful. That's why I joined. I'm learning and wanted a great group with beautiful art to learn from

Permalink Reply by Christine Adamson on January 7, 2012 at 12:23pm Hi everyone. I am bobbin' in and out - honest! LOL. Just not always got time to chat!
I'm Christine and live near Manchester, England. You may recognise me also by my nickname, Tine - pronounced 'Teen' as at the end of Christine (get it!) LOL. I have had this name for almost as long as I can remember as when I was tiny I couldn't say my full name (well, it is quite long for a tot- that is my excuse & I am sticking to it!) but could manage 'Tine'. I am a former Phindy's Place DT member (aren't they just fab images?..) and using Promarkers 'is my thing'. I just lurve to colour. LOL.
I have an understanding hubby who let's me indulge my crafting 'hobby' without too much complaint and I have two all but 'grown-up' children who still live at home. I don't have too much time to indulge many other hobbies (I am not the fastest crafter on the planet) and other than 'messing' on the computer (which, come to think about it, does take a bit of time in itself), I go to aqua-aerobics several times a week and have done so for probably a little over 2 years now. I originally went to help to exercise my dodgy neck & back (I have spondylosis which sadly does cause me some problems on a daily basis, to varying degrees), but have such a great time in the water & made so many friends I can't imagine not going now either.
Permalink Reply by Dawn on January 30, 2012 at 6:51pm Hello, my name is Dawn and I just joined PCP and this group. I am not sure how everything works yet but trying to get around.
Permalink Reply by Shirley Swoope on April 3, 2012 at 6:38pm Hey Dawn, hope you've figured out the PCP by now. I'm sorry that I haven't welcomed you before now. We love having new Phindyites, so please join us HERE for daily chatting or in some case all day chatting.LOL
Hi Everyone, I'm Beth and I live in Tasmania which is Australias island state. I'm a fanatical crafter and although I'm a quiet member of the group I enjoy seeing your beautiful creations. Cardmaking is my number one love followed closely by scrapbooking and ATCs. I've been using digi stamps for some years now and love them for the lack of space it takes to store them. Been trying to condense my crafting work area but it isn't easy. I'm a wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 6. My 8 year old great grandson says I'm awesome and rad so I think I'm handling the generation gap pretty well. I love animals. Have 2 rescue cats and 2 rescue dogsand love getting away camping in the Aussie bush.
Permalink Reply by Shirley Swoope on April 3, 2012 at 6:37pm Hey Beth,
I'm sorry I'm so late in responding to this. We love having new Phindyites. Aren't her creations wonderful. My nickname is Taz short in reference to the Tasmanian Devil. I love that your great grandson is able to recognize what a remarkable woman you are. Congrats on all those children, grandchildren and greats. Please join us on the General Discussion at Phindy's Place. We'd love to chat with you on a regular basis. Again Welcome.
Permalink Reply by Mary Sieczkowski on March 22, 2012 at 8:15pm I'm back. I missed all my friends in Phindyville but had some issues in my personal life to work out. I have been underemployed for 20 months working 2 part time jobs (no benefits). I now have the promise of a teaching contract (full time) for fall at a Catholic HS in Kansas City KS. I've been teaching 2-3 classes there this year and love it.
My computer crashed last June and I lost all my digis (hundreds of them). I have spent the last few weekends cleaning and organizing my craft room at the lake house. The only crafting I've done in the last year was a scrapbook for my daughter's wedding pics (for them and one for my MIL who couldn't come to the wedding b/c of health issues). I actually made 5 cards last weekend so I'm finding my way back.
Thanks to those of you that tracked me down. Kateri, Anita, .... Still room in Phindyville for me?
Permalink Reply by Shirley Swoope on April 3, 2012 at 6:33pm Hi Gina and welcome to the group. You sound like me with all kinds of crafting. The top discussion topic is the latest post. However, the general wall whis is HERE is where most of us post daily. Please come and join us there. It's an awesome group of women, and we're very friendly and welcoming.
Hello All
I am Faith, I live in South Wales, (the original one not the Aussie one). I am married for 46 years to the bestest hubby in the world, sorry girls but he is. LOL. I have an adopted son who has bi-polar and other problems, which can be difficult, but he is lovely. (most of the time).
I have always done some sort of craft, beginning with sewing and making my own clothes, I have tried weaving, macrame, painting, drawing and lots more and then got hold of Photoshop and went DIGI, I now do all my colouring of the digis in PS and putting all my papers together as well before printing out, so I only print what I actually want - saving loads of ink LOL. I love Phindys digis, there is such an assortment to fit any situation.
I'm sorry I haven't been or will be a regular visitor to the forum, but Phindy's emails let me know what is going on and what digis are new etc. so I am in and out of here most weeks.
I must try and enter a few challenges, that will keep me in touch more I suppose.
I have said enough, I think, so will sign out and wish you ALL the best, I'll be keeping an eye out on you all though LOL.
xx
