SOL Thursday May 21st - 7.30 PM London time - Hosted by Karin

This Thursday there will be another SOL.
Because it's a card where we have to do a lot of cutting I want you to cut the pieces in advance. And mayby you could even colour your image in advance.
First I will give you the list of supplies, then I will give you the directions for cutting all the pieces.

List of supplies:

* 2 pieces of cardstock 12 x 12 inch
* 6 pieces of patterned paper, or if you don't have 6 that match use cardstock in matching colours. If you use 12 x 12 inch papers 1 of each, if you use 6 x 6 inch papers 2 of each.
* image or photo
* embellishments
* basic tools

Now I want you to cut all the pieces we need in advance. Please mark your papers on the back with a pencil, (like patterned paper 1, 5 x5) so you don't mix them up Thursday night.
Here we go.

1: cardstock 1 cut into 5 1/2 x 11 - 14 x 28 cm
2: patterned paper 1: 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 - 13 1/2 x 13 1/2 cm
3: patterned paper 2: 5 x 2 1/4 - 12 1/2 x 5 1/2 cm
4: patterned paper 3: 4 1/8 x 4 1/8 - 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 cm
5: patterned paper 4: 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 - 13 1/2 x 4 cm
6: patterend paper 5: 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 - 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 cm
7: image: 3 x 3 (+/-) - 6 x 7 1/2 (+/-)
8: patterned paper 4: Use the same papers as at number 5 and cut 2 pieces of :
5 1/4 x 2 1/2 - 13 1/2 x 6 1/2
9: patterned paper.. use any of the patterned papers you already used and cut 2 pieces of:
5 1/4 x 2 1/2 - 13 1/2 x 6 1/2
10: take your second piece of cardstock and cut into 12 x 3 1/4 - 30 1/2 x 8 cm.

I hope everything is clear and you all can manage it.

This weeks additional challenge is to use a photo on your card. If you don't have a photo you like, please use a stamp or whatever.

hope to see you all this Thursday.
xoxo Karin

Hi Karen,

to bad you can't make it Thursday, but you can always enter the challenge that goes up Friday.

have a nice day,
xoxo karin
Hi Karin

My hubby is out this morning......so I wonder what I am going to be doing HA HA HA
I should be able to use a photo.....we went to Chester Zoo on Sunday for Jack's birthday, and although we got very wet I am sure there is a photo there somewhere!

Hugs, Emma x
Hi Emma,

a belated happy birthday!!!
Hope you all enjoyed Jack's birthday. I bet he loved visiting the Zoo even if it was raining.
I'm home alone too, but I don't think I'll get bored. Have a million things to do before the girls are home from school.
Hopefully I have some time to make a card today.

Enjoy your day,
xoxo Karin
Hi Karin,
I hope I will have time to play this week!!!

Just have some questions about the 'instructions' above
--> step 8: "Use the same papers as at number 5" --> do you mean patterned papers 5 or papers from step#5 (patterned paper 4?)

And if I got anything right, we only need 5 different patterned papers? (step 6 = patterned paper 5, step 8 = patterned paper 4 (or 5 - depends on your answer above ;-) ), step 9 = patterned paper we already used.. so.. only 5 different papers? Or maybe I missed anything? *hmm*

... hardly can wait for thursday to come .... :) :) :)

Hi Sylvia,

I know it must be very confusing, I spend alot of time thinking about putting this in the right words. There are so many papers we will be using.

But to answer your questions.

Step 8: use the same patterned papers you used on step 5, so patterned paper nr. 4.

And about the 6th piece of patterned paper, you could use this on step 9. I don't think there are a lot of ladies who have 6 pieces of patterned papers of the same line. But if you have you could use this on step 9, otherwise use any of the pp you used in one of the ealrier steps.

Hope it is all clear, if not just ask again.

See you Thursdaynight,
hugs,
xoxo Karin
Thanks so much for the prompt reply, Karin!
Now it's all clear :) Hope to see you on thursday night!!!
{hugs} Sylvia

Hi, I am here :)
