Sketch challenges

SK052413 Congratulations

Hello Friday Friends!  Susie here with this week’s Card Sketch Challenge. Today’s sketch is another super simple one.  But I decided to dress it up a bit for a special occasion.  Everyone loves weddings.  Right?  Remember that sketches are just a guideline – a jumping off point, if you will. Once I created my background [...]

SK051013 Get Well Soon

Susie here to say, “It’s Friday again!  Yay!”  Time for a new sketch for you to try. I like to keep things simple because sometimes that’s about all we have time to do – but simple doesn’t have to mean blah!  For my card, instead of using strips of paper for my background, I used [...]

SK050313 Flag It, Wrap It or Tie it On a Shape

Today I have a sweetly packaged card sketch. It’s meant to use up some of those scraps of washi tape, fiber yarn or string with scraps of paper. So take your shape and flag it with tape or wrap it with yarn and you could even wind twine and string to create the focal point [...]

Check out how often things from the gallery end up on Pinterest... http://pinterest.com/source/papercraftplanet.com/

Jen, first, not a dumb question!  Sketches are meant to be inspirational.  We ask you to share in the gallery so that your take on the sketch can inspire others.  You're right that participation is often low in the gallery, but that doesn't mean people aren't playing along.  Most of our players pull the sketch from the blogs and then take it from there.

Forgive me for being dumb, but please would someone explain the point of these sketches.  I entered the sketch in March for which I was instructed to use the tag SK032913  and I can see buy the number of views (only 2 and both me I suppose) and the absence of comments on my card that I wasted my time.    It certainly seems pointless to me, not tpo mention a total waste of time. (1557 members in the group and no participation ... what a pity!)

This week's Sketch challenge is up! don't forget to include key word sk012513 so we can find it in the gallery. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make!

I think I understand -- look under sketch challenges -- not the discussion forum and you should see them.  The sketch pull off the blog and load here, so it may just be taking too long to load.  Let me know....

I'm with Barbara, the link isn't showing up for this week and I have to search for it every time. the last challenge showing is 113012
