Basically, the sketch is a "no layer" card. For my first sample, I thought it would be fun to use my Slice to die cut out the front of this card. I got the idea from the Stampin' Up Catalog. I stamped on transparency for the inside "lining".

Here's the same card, but in a white version. Same concept, but this time, I stamped on black and embossed the lining of the card:

Last card - this is just stamped straight on a card, and I doodled a little frame. Sorry about how "blown out" the coloring is -- I took this at my son's baseball game and the sun was so bright I couldn't see the computer screen for any "real" editing.sketch challenge sk071209_0878

This looks like a fun sketch to try. I don't do very many no layer cards so this will be a huge challenge for me. Your cards are gorgeous. I love the idea of the cutting a window and using stamped vellum behind it. I will try to get back here to post something by the end of the week.
WOW - your sketch and card samples are great for someone who is being pulled in 50 different directions!
I love the "Slice" idea. Thanks for sharing~
Great challenge Susanna! The no-layer is always a tough one. Quite a few samples came to mind, once the Deep Dive set got inked up. TFL!

Nikki, you rocked this! I especially like the clown fish card!
I just placed a card into my photo section and tagged it with sk071109 and also below.

I had to think "outside the box" as I seldom do one layer cards. I stamped my main image then masked it to add the background. I used chalks for both the water and sky.
You did a great job!
Fun challenge!!! I thought I added mine here ... but I don't see it. So ... HERE'S MY CARD! Hope you like it!!
Wow ! Susanna I love the sketch nice and simple, your cards are great. How did you get the slice to cut out in the right spot?

Ok, somebody needs to teach me how to add my picture in a reasonable size, I don't want them to be like the "Gigantica" from the movie "Monsters vs Alliens". lol Please excuse how big it is, but I struggle everytime I have to post it, just imagine if I try to resize it by myself...oh, no...HELP!! Thanks.
Hey, look in the welcome area and there is a tutorial on adding photos to pcp! It will automatically resize for you. Please feel free to message me if you need any help.
I can even see my picture added to the entries of this week. How do I do that? Thanks, Susanna.
