So many of you like myself collect and use stamps from many different companies. For the longest time I was only collecting Stampin Up stamps but I got tired of the way they over price all their stamps and the fact that they refuse to make acrylics. I have been collecting Studio G's for awhile now and Hero Arts on occassion though since I am now a retailer for their company getting their stamps is alot easier. Recently however I started picking up Inkadinkado's and Making Memories stamps. I am noticing an interesting trend. Over the last few months it seems like both Inkadinkado and Making Memories are trying to compete with Hampton Arts the makers of Studio G stamps because they too have been releasing sets of dollar acrylic stamps. For instance Studio G did a Christmas/Holiday set and recently on a trip to Joann's today I found that Inkadinkado has released a holiday set as well that contains more stamps in it than the Studio G set.
So for those of you that collect Studio G's do you find yourself collecting the other two companies stamps as well or do you stick solely with Studio G's?
Yes, I collect Inkadinkado mini stamps as well as Imaginisce (Snag 'em Stamps). Imaginisce makes some really cute ones! I have bought one or two sets of the Hampton Arts acrylic stamps as well. I pretty much will buy any stamp that is really cute and at a reasonable price.
I also collect Snag'em stamps as well though finding them and the Inkadinkado's are hard to get ahold of. The Making Memories company seems to be very random with the dollar stamps they put out. The is another company as well that also seems to be competing with Studio G and I think they are called We R Our Memories. I have a bunch from them.
Michael's recently added the Imaginice stamps to their stores. Although they are priced at $1.49 a stamp. I usually buy them online - eBay or at Bargainpack.com
Craft Warehouse carries Imaginice stamps for a dollar each. If you want to save some money I would be willing to get them for you from there and ship them to you.

I don't necessarily try to collect all of one companies stamps...I buy the stamps I like and will use. I was a stampin up demo for awhile and found I was buying stamps I wasn't in love with just to meet my sales. I no longer sell SU cause the stamp matters more than the company...to me anyway. I will say...I love Vintage and have most of Crafty Secrets Clear Stamps :) I'm such a HOG!
I don't necessarily collect anymore. I do use my SG's, so I only buy the ones I'll use. I have an affinity for Inkadinkado's but I selectively buy the mini's because they are usually just duplicates of the full sets and cheaper. Snag Ems, not as much. I have a few though.
Michaels now has the Recollection $1 bin stamps.
I do gravitate toward some companies more than others but thats just a style/price thing.
Ok I have never heard of Recollection stamps but now I am going to have to go to my local Michaels store and see if they have them. For some reason the Michaels around here take forever to get anything in.
I only started buying stamps cuz I found SG's at Jo-Ann's, and they were CHEAP! I also love Inkadinkado stamps, and I have a few of the Snag'Em stamps too...I usually just buy whatever appeals to me, and what I can use a coupon on! Oh, and I have alot of those Recollections wooden stamps for Halloween, and 2 sets for Christmas of the clear. I have soooooo many Christmas stamps, it isn't even funny!
Recollection's was Michael's alter ego. They used to have a chain of them, they were more of a scrapbooking store. Lots of "upscale" LSS store type of feel. Not so much a big-box discount feel. When they closed the doors several years ago. Part of the line was moved to M's. I notice now more than ever they are really pushing their line.
Marie, Isn't funny how we gravitate toward certain themes. For me it's journaling stamps. I did buy a few of the fall ones that little owl was just too cute.
Ah I wonder then if its a back east thing? Kinda like AC Moore's are all back east but Craft Warehouse is all out this way.
As to themes, I am really big on Asian stamps so anything that comes out from any of the companies that I buy from that is Asian themed I have to have it! Its one of the things I wish Studio G would do is cultural themed stamps.
I have actually! And Marti who is in contact with them all the time asked once what we would like to see and I mentioned it then too. I think part of why they dont do the cultural thing is there is the problem of stepping on the toes of that particular culture by misrepresetation. For instance Hero Arts just release a very cute set of Asian doll stamps. I love them and think they are cute. I have a couple of Chinese friends however that find them offensive.
