I blink and September is here - gosh that was quick. I hope that everyone is well rested and that you are all set for this next challenge. This challenge is all about recycle so instead of tossing the old cereal box in the trash, newspaper, magazine, flyer anything that you can recycle in other words use it and create a card with it. The card can be for any occasion and any colors that you pick. All I ask is that you use your Cuttlebug somewhere on it and have at least 2 items that you have created from recycled material. I almost forgot I have also tossed in a sketch that I found in my collection of treasures. You may adjust the sketch if you so desire. So quick recap:
Use the sketch that is attached
Make a card using at least 2 items that you have recycled
Use your Cuttlebug somewhere on the card
Don't forget pcpcuttlebug so that we can view your lovely creation.
In two weeks I shall post another challenge.
Thank you Margaret for trying to wake us up. I know I have been absent for several months. I hope everyone is doing well. I am really trying to get back at making cards. I made very few this summer. I am not sure where the time went. Between Dr. appointments and grand children my summer was full. I will have the grand children this weekend and then I am off to an HCE Conference next week. But I will do my best to get a card made. The biggest news for me is that this past month I adopted a 9 yr. old Australian Shepherd. She is diabetic. I have learned to give her shots twice a day. She is great. So glad I did it. And in Oct. we will have an eight week old puppy coming. Never had a puppy that young before. It will be a learning curve. Goods news out of all of this is that my pain management Dr. said that the 9yr old, Leah, will do for me than any medicine he could give me. Now if only I could write off the cost of her care as medical.
We all do have crazy, busy and stressful lifestyles so I do understand. I myself took the summer off just for me and now I am wondering if it did me any good. What is a HCE conference? Having dogs around is excellent therapy so I am sure you will be feeling 100% before you know it. Your mentioned a learning curve and I smiled because I have one as well . Wish it was a puppy because that would be fun and make me laugh. Mine is a new Windows 8 computer and I tolerate it. I would rather sit and do a difficult card challenge then tackle this computer. Keep in touch.
I think I will stick with Windows 7 for awhile. I have trouble enough with it. HCE is Home and Community Education. It used to be called Homemakers. We promote family life and community education. Having Leah is great. Now I am just trying to figure out which dog food is best for her.
I totally get what your saying about windows 8 so confusing at first! I am finally getting use to it but a lot of my previous windows programs will not work like Word.. ugh!
I can see that approx. 13 members have looked at Challenge#165. Just think if you sat down and created a card, tag or even a scrapbook page for this challenge on how could you would make your own heart feel. If your brand new and that little green machine called a Cuttlebug is sitting there and saying you will hurt me if you use me then by all means give a shout and you will get help. So lets fire up those bugs and inspire your very own creativity and maybe you just might wake up another Cuttlebug. Collecting ideas is fun but the very best part is when you make those ideas take life.
Hello Crafters - where did the summer go? It was not the best summer for me, as Art contracted pneumonia and for awhile, it was the "blind leading the blind", BUT, he is coming along fine now and gradually working back into his routine. We also became Great Grandparents - our son's step-daughter had a baby girl and she is absolutely beautiful. She was born on Aug 31.
Margaret, you certainly are a dear to try and get the CB Group going again. I guess I have another week to make this card before you post the next challenge.
Hope all is well with everybody and you're all itching to use that Cuttlebug again. I'm certainly going to try.
Marion sorry to hear about Art. I am glad he is feeling better. Congratulation on being a Great Grand parent. Being a grand parent is so rewarding. I love it. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
...thank you for your comment, Deb. Yes, being a grandparent is rewarding for sure.
It seems we never know what life will toss our way and no matter what we do it always catches us unprepared no matter how much we think we are. So happy that Art is doing better. It might take him a little time before he is totally well but it will happen. My best advice is try not worrying because it really doesn't help.
Congratulations on being a Great Grandma.
Yes, Margaret, and it's a good thing we don't know what is coming our way. Art is doing much better and I can stop worrying now.
Ah yes, the new little one is adorable "Sofia" - thanks for the Congrats.
Well Cuttlebug Crafters - I guess I will have to start the "ball rolling"......HERE is my creation for pcpcuttlebug 165. I know there are a lot of Cuttlebugs out there and I hope some of you will take time to join in on our fun.
Adorable card Marion. I love it. Would never know you used recycled materials on your card if you had not told us so. Great job. Grand sons went home today. Kept me busy all weekend. had a great time , but no time to make a card. I am off to a conference for the next 3 days. I hope to get a card made when I get back.
