Hello Gals!

Hope you all had a terrific weekend! Mine was very nice. I had given my hubs a weekend away to a cabin in the east Texas piney woods for his Christmas/32nd Anniversary gift. We took off from home on Friday evening after he got off from work. It was bitterly cold but we made good time (2 hours away). We ate on the road, so when we got to the cabin we unloaded and settled in. The next morning we got up to a very cloudy and extremely cold day. We ventured out to a nearby town and bought some fixins for beef stew. We went back to the cabin and I cooked the stew. It was delicious!!! We settled on the sofa with a roaring fire in the pot belly stove and watched A Fist Full of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More (Clint Eastwood). We finally fell into bed at about 2 a.m.

Sunday morning we got up, ate breakfast. Then headed out to the lake to wet our fishing lines. NOT EVEN A NIBBLE! After 2 hours of chilling wind we gave up. Packed up the minivan and headed home. Hubs said it was GREAT and he enjoyed the time away with just me and Seamus (Airedale/Border Collie mix). :O)

OK now for your assignment this week, should you choose to take it!

Make a Flap Card: It's a trifold card with a flap. Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeazy!

Just make a trifold card with a flap, use your embossing folders to add some texture to your card and use at least one die to the flap for your closure.

There is a terrific tutorial on SplitCoastStampers by Rose Ann. Just click HERE.

Please upload your cards using tag: pcpcuttlebug58

My card images are attached below.

You can read all about it HERE.

Thanks Yall! And Have FUN!!!

Betty, sounds like you and your husband had some great alone time. Were you ice fishing or was it open water? Either way, sounded great. We heat our house with a wood stove that has a glass door, and we love sitting by it every night, all winter long.
Well, here's my card. I like these papers that have a washed out look. They tend to look dull when I take my photos, but you get the idea. I used a Sizzix frame die as my flap, Cuttlebug dots and bubbles efs (again), and Cloud9 birthday sentiments.
MG it was a lake, not frozen. But I think the lake was the only thing that was not frozen. It was so cold my faced and hands hurt.

Your card is gorgeous! Love the colors!
Mary Grace, what a lovely card you've made. Those papers are nice - great colour scheme!
Love your card MaryGrace, whoops I forgot to shape the flap on mine LOL. If you have a graphics prog like Paint Shop Pro or any other if you increase your contrast or colour balance you can brighten things up a bit if you wish.
Great cards ladies! Love them both!
Well, this was a fun card to make - my first flap card ever - but not difficult. The only thing I don't have is a magnet to keep it shut but other than that, I think it is complete. Here is the front of my card........and the inside is here.
I love your LOVE!!!

Hi Ladies, I have enjoyed the cards you posted. Here is my card, I didn't think I was going to make it in time.
