Well I took advantage of a feel good day and got my card finished. I used the mini folder but did a different take on the original. I used core paper and my sander. I am pleased with how it came out and can see use for further cards with these mini folders. My creation is attached.

I only have one mini folder so if I cant get inspired with that I may have to use a full size one.
Permalink Reply by Marion on January 12, 2013 at 9:39am Your card is nice, Margaret - I forget about using the Coredinations CS and always makes for a lovely card. Glad you were able to get one done, Margaret - hope you are feeling betteer.
Hi Marion:
Like I told May had another folder in mind but not the right color of core paper and no ink. I will admit I did have fun and it felt great just doing a card.My cold is about half gone but it seems the world around me is falling apart. A neighbor on our street passed away. Mother is getting worse and I feel like pulling my hair out by it's roots. Other then that life is great.
When one doesn't have a lot of ink hanging around gathering dust it makes those gray cells think so the result was Coredinations. I did have another folder in mind but didn't have the color that I needed for it. My supplies are getting low so it means a shopping trip and I just haven't had time for it.
Permalink Reply by Mary on January 12, 2013 at 6:14pm Sounds like it would be a good point to make time to take a few hours off by yourself to go do some retail therapy. Just do it, there is never a 'right time', everyone will survive until you return.
Hi Mary:
Retail therapy now why didn't I think of that?? <lol>
Permalink Reply by Vicky O Connor on January 16, 2013 at 9:32am Great advice Mary, of course there is always the easier version, buy online!
Permalink Reply by Mary on January 16, 2013 at 5:01pm Hi Vicky yes buying online is great ( my credit card tells it own tale on that score)and I do a LOT of it as I am out in the sticks with no access to craft shops but sometimes it is good to take a break and just get away from home and responsibility for a while. :)
Permalink Reply by Vicky O Connor on January 18, 2013 at 6:17am lol, yes, my poor credit cards seems like yours too and like you Mary I live many miles from a good craft shop so mostly online shopping is the only way to go.
But like Margaret, there is really no subistute to "feeling and smelling" things - yes smelling, love the smell of paper and ink - before purchasing.
Hi Vicky:
Oh so true.
Hi Vicky:
Mind you I have done my share of online shopping but you still can't beat going into a store. I just love the fact that I can walk around and just pick up and look and put it back on the shelf and walk around and then pick it up again and this time purchase it.
Permalink Reply by Mary on January 15, 2013 at 10:29am Hi Margaret finally made a card for your challenge today. We had no power for close to 6 hours so it helped to pass the time to make a card.
I used a mini folder by Sizzix for the background. The cameo silhouette is also part of the set. Used two Memento inks Bahama Blue and Summer Sky plus a StampIt ink Periwinkle to colour the background and the lady.
