Meet and Greet Alison Acton, Whiff of Joy's wonderful illustrator in here starting at 8pm GMT+1.
Hi Alison love working with your fabulous images and Henry Cupcake Mouse must be one of my Favourite stamps, thanks for joining us tonight
Hugs Jacqui x
Jacqui, I just got to your card and it looks amazing! I love the jungle theme, and the animals all look so vibrant!! Thanks for making my little animals look so good :)
Thank you Zoe! I'm glad the other animals have found a home too... and I believe there's some more animals to come, wait to you see my little raccoon pal :)
Hello everyone! It's so nice to meet you all and I wanted to mention how impressed I've been with every card or creation I've seen with one of my little characters on it (or any other stamp really, you are all so talented!) I didn't know much about stamping before I met Katharina but I was quite blown away by the work put into the creations she showed me, not to mention the intricacy of the designs.
One of the most interesting things for me is seeing all the different incarnations on the same stamp. When I design an image, I tend to have an impression of what colors everything would be, even if its only meant for black and white. I love seeing all the different versions people come up with as sometimes it changes my mind about what would look best.
And now I get to give you guys a little preview of our new Christmas stamps. (I know it's only July! But it's been a pretty cool and rainy July here in Canada) This line will feature my favorite character, Henry, as he's so much fun to draw:
To celebrate Christmas in July we're giving away 3 of the new stamps as blog candy today! If you are the first to answer 1 of these little trivia questions here in the discussion you'll get one of these new Christmas stamps as soon as they are released! Even if you find the answers to all 3, please only respond to one so we can have 3 different winners:
1. What part of Canada do I live in?
2. Who is the most popular character in my web comic Bear Nuts?
3. This one may be the hardest: My husband Jim and I are expecting our first child this Oct! We already know we're having a boy (I unfortunately lost the argument about waiting for the surprise). What is his name?
Thank you so much Vanja! Charlotte is such a fun little girl to draw, wait to you see some of the new stuff we've been working on! I got to play with her hair style a little!
