Wow that is great, thanks for showing this technique.  I have many colors of Distressed Ink but did not know I could use them in this way.

Thanks for the great tutorial!  I have a quick question... Do you think you could achieve the same background effect without cutting the image out if you used a mask?  Or can you not get that kind of effect with sponging the distress inks on watercolour paper?

Great tutorial! I have seen so many items watercolored with the distress inks, but haven't ventured there myself yet. Is there a way to download this and not pay for a monthly membership with Scribd?

this is one of the things that makes this site AMAZING! For a newcomer like me hearing the more experienced stampers talk about Tim Holtz Distressed ink, i wondered what else can you with these inks other than to show "antiquing" on a paper! Thanks so much for describing simply & clearly this step by step process! Now I know why these inks are a big deal...very versatile! :)
