Things You Can Create With an Empty Glass Jar

Beach in a jar - This is a fun project for kids who have been to the beach recently and gathered seashells. Simply put some sand in the bottom of the jar, and add lots of shells and some driftwood. A larger shell can be glued to the lid for a finishing touch.Lantern or candleholder - This is a good project for a glass jar of any size. The kids can use glass liner and paint to create a stained glass look, or they can add semi-transparent material such as tissue paper to the outside of the jar…See More

Enjoy craft making through rubber stamps

There is no need to spend big bucks when you want to get creative. If you are interested in crafts and arts then craft making is one of the few ideal activities that you can enjoy. Today there is different variety of craft making techniques that can fulfill your passion and love towards art. In fact today spending time or by making use of various craft making ideas you can easily have fun and may even show excellent way of being creative.

Generally in various parts of the world, for craft making, the unused or recycled products are used to make it unique. However, with the availability of various materials like shimmers and stickers, printed and glossed paper; rubber stamps are gaining enormous popularity day by day amongst the makers. Introduced into the form of art, these days’ rubber stamps are available in various designs. The best benefit of using rubber stamps in craft making is that it helps in saving the time of the person who is in the process of creating a craft product or creative creation. These are readily available in various sizes and shapes in the craft stores or at stationary shops. In fact, you can choose from a variety according to your choice like quick rubber stamps, mounted rubber stamps, rubber stamps with depth and image, un-mounted rubber stamps and acrylic mounts. Each of these rubber stamps is clear, easy to use and choosing one over another is going to depend on the use for the stamp and the type of craft.

Today rubber stamping is great for you as a beginner or seasoned crafter and can be used to create best craft creations. Here are some of the few ideas or techniques that can be very helpful for craft making by using rubber stamps-
Coloring Design Craft- You can add color to your design in several ways. There are different coloured ink pads available in market to use with your rubber stamps. You may use brush pens for adding color to specific areas of a stamp, but make sure to work fairly quick so that the ink doesn’t dry. Creative effects can also be achieved by coloring the background before you stamp, using paints or alcohol inks and stamping with black ink.
Inking & Rubber Stamping- Taking the ink to the stamp rather than pressing the stamp into the ink pad can help you get better results in craft creation. This technique may help you in having more control over how much ink you apply. However, you need to take care to apply the ink just to the raised areas of the rubber stamp to give a clean, crisp image when you stamp. After you apply your ink, turn your stamp over and lay it flat onto the surface you wish to stamp onto. Finally, at the end apply a moderate and even pressure to the back of the stamp, taking care not to rock or move the stamp as you press down. Lift off the stamp to reveal your craft image.
Though a rubber stamp is easy to use for craft making, but you have to choose a proper rubber stamp. Besides this, a good ink pad is necessary for having a good stamp impression. You may even have some crayons, marker, and colored pencils handy so that you can color the stamp nicely. For craft making though it may not be important to use expensive ink removers, but it is always better to find an acid that works similar to the chemical solutions and you can easily purchase it from craft shops.

Get going with some of these techniques and ideas and surely you may come up with better craft images and creation. Certainly at times having your own craft creation can provide immense satisfaction, which a ready-made craft can never provide. So keep enjoying craft making with rubber stamps. It’s easy and may give you quick results.
