I use pigment inks and chalk inks. Dye inks tend to bead. You can try some very fine grit sand paper and sand them a bit too. Somewhere online I saw a picture tutorial on how to condition clear stamps for a really nice dark image. I will look for it!
Lyn-it is hard to find images to paper peice with the clear SG stamps. I have a few that are large enough. I used the wood ones for this project. Mostly because the little ones weren't speaking to me yesterday!
