Monday Tutorial – Washi Tape Fun – Part 1

Today’s tutorial is all about exploring how to use washi tape (or tissue tape).  Washi tape is an almost transparent material, tears easily and is repositionable!  You can find it in most craft stores, online and through scrapbook/paper crafting manufacturers.  Prices range from under $2 per roll and up.  I wouldn’t say that I have a washi tape addiction, but rather,  I…See More

Friday Sketch 060713 – Vertical Reverse Easel Card!

Today’s sketch challenge is a vertical orientation photo card.  How quick and easy it is to capture special moments and turn them into a  card for someone, especially with Father’s Day right around the corner!  This particular photo had a lot of blank area at the bottom which made the added word strip a perfect spot for it.  A…See More

3d219 – Toilet Paper Roll Treat Box!

Hi everyone and welcome to another 3d Challenge!  Today I’m using a toilet paper roll as the base of the treat box.  Since the box is small, all it needed for decoration is a  little tag tied around the ribbon! To begin the project, the toilet paper roll is covered with pattern paper (Basic Grey Mint Julip).  I used a wet glue…See More

Monday Tutorial – Ombre Technique Using Inkpads!

Today’s tutorial is wonderfully easy with great results!  All you need is 2-3 inkpads (I used A Muse Studio pigment inks:  Blueberry, Ocean and Bermuda).  Pigment ink stays wet a little longer but behave very much like a dye base ink.  Experiment with inks that you already have!  Any scraps you color can always be used for background paper.  Ready for the technique?  I taped the demo and only did…See More

Hi Lyn!  Thanks for the nice welcome.  I will definitely look into the groups!  I love the vintage look, but cannot seem to achieve it - will definitely be interested in learning from the Vintage group!  And I love challenges and RAK clubs.  Right now, my craft room is in chaos and I am trying to get it organized so not able to craft much, but I will definitely be joining in as soon as I am able :)

Lyn, thank you for the warm welcome, and the nice comment about my painting (yes, I did paint it). Looking forward to getting to know you and the rest of the group!

Hi - I am so pleased to be in the group as I had fallen into the "cute" trap. Now you have given me a ladder to help me climb out lol. Hope to be able to join a challenge soon once I have worked out how to use the forum :)

Thanks Lyn!  I went in and changed the tag on the card I wanted to use for this challenge.  Now... how do I find the gallery for the ABC group so I can look at everyones cards?  lol

Hi Lyn,

I'm new to Paper Craft Planet.  I joined the Anything But Cute Group.  I have a card to upload for the week 4 challenge.  How do I get it in the right place?

Thanks!

Linda

Aw, Lyn... thanks SO much for the Red Ribbon welcome to CAS!  I'm so excited to learn the style.  I really tend to "over-think" and "second guess" my cards when it seems "too simple", ya know?  But, I'm most definitely NOT the crazy w/flower type...lol  SO, hopefully I can find my niche...!  :-)

Thanks, Lyn.  I love the Anything But Cute ideas I've seen so far.  Not that I have a problem with cute things, but so many times, we need something more serious.  I'll post something soon  :)  I appreciate your kind welcome.  HUG
