My husband teases me constantly when we go away on vacation to anywhere near an ocean, as I have to go beach combing…filling up my pockets, his pockets, his hat…with shells, pebbles, sea glass, feathers, etc. This little box is for the smallest of these treasures from the sea.
•Stampendous Cling Mermaid stamp
•Stampendous Taupe Color Fragments
•Stampendous Pearlized and Bronze Mica Fragments
•Stampendous Steel Blue Crushed Glass Glitter
•Ranger Claudine Hellmuth Sky Blue Paint
•Ranger Adirondack Snow Cap Acrylic Paint Dabber
•Beacon Fast Finish Decoupage
•unfinished wood box (Michael’s $1)
•colored pencils ( I used Derwent Inktense)
•flat paint brush
Step 1: Remove insert from lid of box. Tape off glass lid inside and out.
Step 3: Paint inside and outside of box, plus one side of lid insert.
Step 4: Apply white paint around edges of lid with paint dabber, mimicking a white-wash look. Apply white paint to opposite side of insert.
Step 5: Stamp image on insert.
Step 6: Color and shade image with colored pencils.
Step 7: Brush sides of box with decoupage medium, and sprinkle with Color Fragments.
Step 8: Remove tape from glass insert. Sprinkle Mica Fragments, Glitter, etc. into window area before replacing the colored wood insert. Fill box with treasures.
