This week, I thought it would be fun to make a little something different. I’m a big Jimmy Buffett fan, so when I saw this Steampunk Parrot in Susana’s store, I just had to play with it. I had a ball watercoloring him with Ranger Distress Markers. (These markers are really blendable, with a more muted color result than Copics.)
There are three different colors all blended together on the wing.
Because this is a 3d Challenge, I whipped up this little basket. I can’t take any credit. The uber talented Amy Park has made this basket for Easter, but it was worth revisiting. I thought it made a great little gift basket, dressed up with a hair clip flower and some drink mixes. (After all…. it IS 5 pm somewhere!)
To decorate it, I just hot glued a flower to a plastic hair clip. I’m fancy like that. (See below. Same clip… actually at a Jimmy Buffet concert )
No one wants to have fun all by themselves, so Susana suggested we give something away today! Nice, right!? Enter below using our Rafflecopter widget and you could win 4 digital images from Susana’s store (Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design)! While I made this card with the rubber parrot, if you love him… he’s available in digital too!
You have until Monday, September 23rd (midnight EST) to enter. Good luck!
