Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

I'm here to showcase Riddersholm Designs, a wonderful Danish paper company. Riddersholm specializes in a charming vintage look with patterned papers, diecut tags, ribbons, and charms. The product itself is designed by Connie, produced in Denmark and marked with the Scandinavian environmental seal ‘Svanemaerket’ meaning it is produced to protect our environment.

I used up just about everything that Connie sent me because I was having so much fun making mini books. My first book is a small paper bag album.

I used some light brown ink to add some aging to the edges of the patterned paper and cardstock I used on the cover. I cut a small tag from the sheets of tags that were sent to me and adhered it to the front, along with some beautiful silk and paper roses with lace ribbon.

A little bit of hot glue was all it took to secure the roses in place.

Each of the pages inside the book is constructed out of a paper bag and then covered on both sides with patterned paper and tags cut from the tag sheets.

And inside of each paper bag is another patterned piece of paper to use as another page to include photos or journaling on.

The second book I created was a Tag Flag Album.

This album was decorated using one of the beautiful charms that Connie sent me.

The dangling jewels are my favorite part. I added a couple of silk and paper flowers at the top of the charm.

When the book is untied and opened, the tags inside (adhered onto an accordion-folded strip of patterned paper) start to pop up. Each of the tags has a ribbon tassel that is threaded through the accordion fold (which you can see on the left hand side of the book when it's closed (two photos up).

When the accordion is pulled out further, the tags separate. They can be used for photos and journaling and this album makes a great conversation piece! EDITED TO ADD: You can find the e-book for the directions for the Mini Tag Flag Album HERE.
