This Changito Pilot card that I posted a few weeks ago on the Planet raised some curiosity as to whether or not the background paper was actually pattern paper or handmade. Those clouds that pop off the page are painted on with a few simple supplies.

If you don't have a plastic cloud stencil you can create one by drawing a few cloud shapes on scraps of cardstock. Cut out the inside of the shape with a utility knife and cutting mat or by piercing a hole in the center of the shape with scissors and cutting along the pencil lines. You can also use a cloud shaped die as well.
Let's get going with our tutorial on painted clouds background!
What are your cloud techniques?
